Glenhaven is a semi-rural community apart of The Hills Shire that is approximately 30kms from the CBD. The area is a mix of large grand homes and semi rural acreages as well as a retirement village, it is an ideal mix for those who love a touch of the country.

Glenhaven History Quick Facts

• Originally named ‘”Sandhurst” but the name was changed after it caused confusion with another suburb in Melbourne.
• The upper portion of the valley “The Glen” & the lower portion “The Haven” hence the new suburb name of Glenhaven
• Evans Road is named after John Evans, one of the first settlers in the area.

Residential Areas

• Larger homes on 1000+sqm blocks & semi-rural acreages
• Half the suburb is located on a ridge approx. 200m high
• Three retirement villages are located in Glenhaven

Shopping

• There is a small local shopping complex on Glenhaven Road
• Castle Towers is only a 10minute drive away.
• Alternatively there is a Woolworths and Aldi supermarket at Round Corner, Dural

Transport

• Buses from Rouse Hill, Parramatta and Castle Hill service most of the suburb
• During peak hour services to the CBD run via the M2.

Sports & Recreation

• Glenhaven Oval is located on Glenhaven Road, a single sports field for predominantly cricket and soccer.
• Glenhaven Community Centre is available for hire. It has a main room for larger events and smaller meeting rooms.
